Academics

We offer a balanced, rigorous curriculum that blends the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) standards with global 21st-century skills.

A curriculum built for what comes next

Sciences & Mathematics

Science and mathematics education helps learners develop logical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Languages & Humanities

Languages and humanities help students understand society, communicate effectively and express their ideas clearly.

ICT

Computer Studies, Art & Design, and Entrepreneurship. Preparing students for the digital and business world.

Ordinary Level

Our Ordinary Level (O’ Level) programme provides learners with a strong foundation for further education and personal development.

At this level, students are exposed to a broad range of learning areas that help them develop essential academic, practical, communication, and problem-solving skills. We encourage learners to understand concepts, apply knowledge, work independently, and develop positive study habits.

Our teachers closely support students throughout their O’ Level journey, helping them identify their strengths, improve in areas of difficulty, and prepare confidently for national examinations and the next stage of their education.

Advanced Level

Our Advanced Level (A’ Level) programme builds on the foundation developed at O’ Level and prepares learners for university, tertiary education, professional training, and future career opportunities.

At A’ Level, students engage in more focused and advanced study. They are encouraged to become independent learners, develop deeper subject knowledge, strengthen their research and analytical abilities, and take greater responsibility for their academic progress.

Our experienced teachers guide learners through their chosen areas of study while helping them develop the confidence, discipline, and academic maturity required for higher education and life beyond secondary school.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

At Makhai Seed Secondary School, we believe that education goes beyond academic achievement. Learners need opportunities to discover their talents, build confidence, develop leadership skills, stay physically active, and learn how to work with others.

Our co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes complement classroom learning by promoting teamwork, discipline, creativity, responsibility, confidence, and healthy competition.

Students are encouraged to participate actively in activities that match their interests and abilities.
